Pd. 2- Time Travel Decision

If you woke up in the distant future, would you want to remain there or return to your own time? Why?

  1. If I woke up in the distant future, I would want to rather return to my own time than to remain and stay there. I would rather go back to my own time because if I stayed there in the future I would've wasted the time between my time and the future that I traveled to. Also, if I stayed there I wouldn't be up to date, meaning I wouldn't know what the world is like in the future, what people wore, how people speak, or any products such as electronics that people are using. Worst of all, I wouldn't know anyone that lived during that period; and I would have wasted so many precious time where I could have fulfilled my dreams and also accomplish my goals.

  2. If I were to wake up in the distant future I would probably want to go back to my time. I would choose to go back to my own time because that is where all of my friends and family are, and if I stayed there I would have to adapt to this lifestyle in the future which would be very tough. If I did end up in the distant future I would have to find a new school to go to, and I would have to make new friends and find a new family. It would be very rough for me if I were to wake up in the distant future. I would want to remain in my own time because as I already said my family, friends and everyone I know would be in this time. I would also want to remain in this time because the world could've changed a lot in the years that I was asleep. I would want to live in my time period because I know what struggles the world is facing and I won't have any questions about what happens now.

  3. If I woke up in the distant future i would leave. I like where i am and would not like to change anything. I would have no friends or family, and i would not know how to survive. My friends and family mean the world to me and i would never even think of leaving them behind. Also it would be very weird to be all alone in a place you don’t know. I don’t know my way around and i have no clue how to survive in the wilderness let alone somewhere i don’t know. On the other hand i think it may be cool to live in a distant place. I would never want to stay there for ever of course but i think it might be a cool place to live for a little while. But if i had to choose to live here or there for the rest of my life i would live here, no doubt.

  4. That depends on how the future is. If all of my family and friends are also there then I would want to stay. But if I am the only one there then I wouldn't want to stay. I think in the future, technology would have greatly advanced so I would sort of be a misfit because I would not know how to operate the technology. Also a lot of things would have changed and I would probably go out of mind trying to figure things out. I think it would just be too difficult to live in the future since I have not experienced the changes that took place to reach the future.

  5. I would want to go back to my time! I would like to because all of my friends are there and my family. If I woke up in the future I would not know where they are and where to find them. Also I would like to return to finish my academics and go to college. if I am in the future I would need more knowledge. I would not even know how to drive and I would not have any money. I would also like to keep the shoes I already have.

  6. I would probably like to go back to my original time. I have many accomplishments I would like to experience instead of just passing by them. Also I would not know any of the new friends or people I meet or know about the friends I have lost. I think the biggest fear in life is dying. If I were to move ahead in life only just a few years I would lose those few years of life. I definitely think that I would rather go back to remain in my own time. What if the time itself is a terrible place where nobody wants to be? Or my future is not something I like. Everything I do in life I don't want to skip or miss out on.

  7. If I woke up in the distant future, I would not want to remain there. I would want to return to my own time. I wouldn't want to stay in the future because then I would have missed a lot of things. Maybe even many important things...like missing my graduation, missing people's birthday's, missing maybe a marriage or engagement, or even someone passing away or being born. If I remained in the future, I would probably be confused because there'd be more technology, different style of clothing/fashion, and the people would have changed. I probably wouldn't like it. That's why I would rather return to my time if I woke up in the distant future.

  8. If I woke up in the distant future, I would defiantly remain there because I think it would be fun. There would be a bunch of new technology and so much more to experience. I would want to learn how i woke up in the distant future. I would want to see all the new technology. I would also want to know if i was the only one who woke up in future. It would be pretty amazing to wake up in the future. Therefore, i would defiantly stay if I woke up in the distant future.

  9. I believe that if I woke up in the distant future I would want to return to my own time. I would be familiar with my own time period, while as the future would be new and confusing. The future would be much more advanced. There would be new technology, new common trends, and new people. I also think I would want to go back to my own time because I would know the people. The people in the distant future may not have even been alive during my time, so I wouldn't know anyone, and it would be awkward. Overall, I would want to return to my own time period if I one day awoke in the distant future.

  10. I would want to return to my time because my friends would all be gone, so I would have to find all new ones. Also everything would be different; I would have no clue what is going on. There could be new cars that I don't know how to drive then I would have to walk everywhere and that would take forever. I would have no family because they would all be in the past time.

  11. If I woke up in the distant future I would want to return to my own time because I would be missing a ton of important events that would have happened between my time and the future. Also I would be very confused and people would not know who I am. Also I believe that skipping over a period of time could mess with things because you could see your future self and that could potentially cause problems. Before I were to return to my own time though I would want to explore just a little bit so that I have some knowledge about the future in case is even could be really important.

  12. If I woke up in the distant future, I would want to return to my own time. I might be so confused if we had changes in the world. If I go back, I can learn all the new changes with everyone else. Then, I could already know the future and tell close family and friends what to expect. When I go back, I would see my family and friends! I could have missed out on some important things. When I would go back to my time, I could be there for all of those things. Before the future comes back, I might want to do things that might not be available in the future. Since the world can change, some things might be gone and never come back.

  13. If I woke up in the distant future I would want to go back to my time because all my family would have died or aged by a lot and I would miss them. Also I would be really alone and confused and that would not be fun. Finally if you had aged you would have missed a portion of your life. That would be a lot to miss. That is why I would want to go back to my time.

  14. If I awoke in the distant future, I would be so confused. I would want to stay, but also go back to the present. I would want to stay in the future because it shows what everyone has accomplished and how technologically advanced human society has become. I would want to go back to my own time because I wouldn't fit in because I'd be from a different time era. I would also like to go through life experience with my friends and family... So I'll sacrifice missing out on knowing all the advancements in the future, and spring boarding ahead; I would rather return to my own time.

  15. If I awoke in the distant future, it would depend on how much better or worse that life is there. If the people there had bacon stands and hover boards and never aged past a certain age and lived forever then yes; I would like to stay there.

  16. f I woke up in the distant future I would rather go back in time. I wouldn’t know anyone there and I would miss everyone in the past. If I did stay I would have to start over, I’d have to get new friends and I wouldn’t even have a family to go to. If I could go back in time I would have to do it. I could go back to the life I know and be with the people I know and love. Also I would learn a life lesson.

  17. I would like to return to my own time because in the future, you won't understand the culture there. The future would be so much different from now. In my time, I know the culture and whats appropriate and whats not. By then the rules and laws will be a little. Even the little things and jokes would be different. The jokes and words that are exceptable now might not be in the future. And your friends won't be there, so it's ike starting a new life. Unless you hated your prior life, than you wouldnt want to go to the future and stay there.

  18. If I woke up and found myself in the distant future I would go back to my time. But, I would go back after I found out what happened and when. This is so I could prevent any major catastrophes that would happen during my time, maybe even changing history. Even though it it will impact history a great amount, I could save a lot of lives. Also, I would return to my time because I would have no knowledge of the time I am in. I wouldn't know what happened in the years I missed and that could impact a my life in the future. as you can see, going back to my time would be beneficial for many people, especially the lives of those I could save.

  19. If I woke up in the distant future I wouldn't want to stay there. I wouldn't want to stay there because I would have missed out on all the opportunities in my time and I would have to practically start my life over. I wouldn't have any family, friends, or anything familiar left. I would need to learn to take care of myself quickly when right now I have my parents to take care of basic nessecities that I need. If I was on my own, I would have to learn how to do all that on my own. So I wouldn't not want to stay in that time.

  20. If I woke up in the distant future I would return to my own time. First, this is because the world could be in a crisis then such as running out of natural gas or a giant world war. Next, I would be behind technologically. I would rather watch the world and technology evolve than just skip from one point to another. Lastly, I would rather live through my younger years instead of skipping them.
