  1. It would be crazy if i woke up fifty years in the future. I would panic and start to ask questions. I can not think of any advantages but i ave some disadvantages. One would be that you would become older. You would lack life experience or knowledge. Another would be that you do not know how you slept for that long. I have slept for a whole day and that was bad enough, but fifty years. It would be a crazy experience.

  2. If i had slept for fifty years, i would go out and see all the differences. An advantage would be that I would get perfect scores in history class, but I would also seem like an older person because I would not know how to use the new technology. i would also wonder how nobody woke me up,and I would be very mad at my family for letting me sleep.

  4. If I awoke one day to find that I had slept for fifty years I would run to a store like Target or Walmart to find out the date as well as the newest technologies and inventions. The advantages include saving money on food and items you would have bought if you were awake and possibly waking up to a better world with newer, safer ways of doing things. By then we might be all using electric cars and have solved the issue of global warming. The main disadvantage is missing out on over half of your life. You would have to do things like go to college at 60 years old. Also, you would miss out on some great moments in history that will occur in your lifetime such as men revisiting the moon or your favorite team winning a championship. Lastly, you would miss out on your childhood.

  5. If i had slet for fifty years than woke up I would probably go outside to see the difference of what it looked when i fell asleep and how the world looks now in the future. a couple of advantages and disadvantages would be you get to skip ahead to the future to see how it looks and you don't have to wait 50 years. many disadvantages though would be your family may have passed away and you could have missed a lot in the world.

  6. If I awoke one day to find I had slept fifty years I would want to know everything that I missed over the last fifty years. I would gather all old news papers and read them all to see major events that I misses. Another thing I would do is talk to family members about family based events and things that happened. Some advantages to sleeping for fifty years is that you will see ho much the world changes without having to wait for it all to happen. For example technological advances will all occur while you are asleep and when you wake up there will be so many more devices that you get to be astonished by. You will also be well rested and your joints will not be corroded because you will not move for fifty years. Disadvantages would include missing many events that could have been important to you like birthdays, deaths, graduations, and other important moments. You will also miss seeing people grow up, and if you are a child then you will miss growing up and you will miss your childhood which is when so many memories happen. Not only will it be sad to not have childhood memories but you will also not be educated. With all the new discoveries that happened over the fifty years you will not know any of them so you will have to be taught all this stuff when you wake up. There are some advantages to sleep for fifty years but there are more downsides to it, so I would not want to sleep for fifty years.

  7. If I just woke up one day and suddenly found out that I was asleep for 50 years I would probably go insane. I wouldn't even know what to do first! I would ask people if they were serious or if it was just one big joke. Then I would go around asking for the date and time if I didn't believe what they were saying. One advantage to being asleep for 50 years is that whatever trouble you were in before you fell asleep would go away because they would forget about you eventually. Another advantage would be that you wouldn't even have to go to school or work! The last advantage I came up with was that you would not have to ay bills and taxes. With falling asleep, there is also the down side. If you fell asleep for 50 years straight, people would be able to mess with you while you're sleeping and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it. They could mess with you by putting you in a different location or mess with you by stealing all your valuables, which could include your hard earned money, clothes, house, etc. Another disadvantage would be that you wouldn't be up to date on anything. You wouldn't be able to tell someone the time or date and you wouldn't know if some family members are still alive. The last disadvantage to being asleep for 50 years is that you could be so clueless about what's going on around you, people might think your mentally challenged. You would go up to people and say "What's today's date?" "Oh, okay so it's November 19th of 1963 thank you." but that wouldn't be the right date, it's 50 years later.. You could also be so confused and worried that people might worry about you and make you see a doctor about it! And what makes you think a normal person on the street would believe you fell asleep for 50 years straight..

  8. If i woke up one day to find that i had slept for fifty years i would scream and cry. I would have wasted most of my life sleeping and my parents would probably be dead by then. I think i would loose my mind.I would have last been 13 and waken up as a 63 year old. I would of never lived experiences that i should of. I think that there are far more disadvantages than advantages in this strange
situation. The only advantage that i think would come of this is that i would be well rested but other than that i see no advantages. I would have no life, no family, no life experiences nothing at all. None of which i would be able to get back. I believe that no matter a good or bad experience they both teach us something and i for nothing would trade those experiences, That is what i would do if i woke one day to find out i had slept for fifty years,

  9. If one day I woke up, and I found that I had slept for fifty years many things would be going through my head. First, I would probably be extremely confused. Fifty years is around half of your life. That's a lot of time to spend asleep. If that was the case, there are many advantages and disadvantages that occur. An advantage would be that while you slept, the world around you was progressing, and new things might have be discovered. Fifty years later, you might be able to meet new family members of yours who were growing up while you were asleep. On the contrary, there are many negatives of being asleep all that time. Just think of all the things you'd miss. Graduation, learning how to drive, going to college, getting married. You'd miss out on so many huge things. I think there are many many more negatives to being asleep for 50 years then positives.

  10. If I were to wake up fifty years later, there would be disadvantages and advantages.
A main disadvantage would be that I would be behind. All of my friends would be in their sixties if I fell asleep now and most of my family would be dead. It would be rough to wake up and your entire family and friends to be either dead or fifty years older than you. That would be the main disadvantage.
The main advantage would be that you would be registered as extremely cool. Everyone in the time you were at would constantly ask you about the past. You could also get a job easily in history and everyone would envy your expertise on the subject. Those are some advantages of sleeping for fifty years.
Therefore, there are many advantages and disadvantages to sleeping for fifty years.

  11. Waking up one day and realizing I had slept for fifty years would be the strangest thing. How it must feel to have missed out on so much time. So many things could've happened and I would've missed a lot of them. Some advantages are that I could've missed bad things that occurred during my "fifty-year nap". For example, if a natural disaster had taken place, I wouldn't have been affected. There a benefits to sleeping for fifty years, but the disadvantages are much worse. What if a loved one needed help when I was asleep, so I couldn't be there to help. I would be devastated that I didn't help them through a rough time. Friends may have moved on from you, family members may forget you even exist. Being unconscious or asleep for fifty years is a big thing. I hate just missing a day away from the ones i love, let alone 1,825 days. I wouldn't be able to cope with what took place while I was not around. It would be devastating to come back and not have many people even remember that you were gone. . I don't know what I would do in this situation. It is almost like going to your 50th high-school reunion. Even if you were close to the people before, they may not even remember who you are. So much for "best friends". People move on, forget the past. You may not even be a part of someone's past if you were gone for fifty years. It would be horrible to not have people know who you are. I hope I never have to know what is like to fall asleep for fifty years.

  12. If I awoke one day to find that I had slept for fifty years, I would want to explore the world and see all of the changes that occurred when I was sleeping. Some advantages would be that it would be fun to see what the future is like and find out what the people I know did during those fifty years. Some disadvantages would be that all of my friends would be old and I would be I wouldn't be updated on what new things are happening with the world.

  13. If I were to wake up one day, and realize I had been asleep for 50 years, a lot of thoughts would be running through my head. How terrifying would it be to wake up, after 50 years. This wouldn't be the instinct of most, but I would be horrified to go back to sleep. After all, I have no idea what caused this strange episode, but I wouldn't want it to occur again. Some disadvantages would be aging, and missing out on life. I missed everything in my life for 50 years, and it would seem to be impossible to catch up with everything after so much time. I would worry about having no one, what if everyone left, and I was left with no one by my side. So much must have changed, and it would be extremely hard to adapt without anyone to guide me. If this were ever to occur, It would be extremely difficult to cope with. Some advantages to this would be that you were able to take a break, to me this sounds pretty great. Living most of my life without any real obligations, responsibilities, and the stress. Although to most people the idea of sleeping for 50 years would be scary. Since this would be a medical oddity, I would most likely be in the spotlight of news. I would eventually get some sort of money, and would be able to spend my last years enjoying life. However, this is a very optimistic viewpoint. Losing 50 years of life would be devastating to anyone, and to me there are no real advantages. I would miss the milestones in my life; the hardships, rewards, good days, and bad days. Missing out on almost half my life would give me no real values as a human being, and life would seem pointless.

  14. Well, if I woke up from a deep sleep for 50 years, I'd be extremely confused. Several disadvantages would be that new technologies, trends, and styles of life had changed over the long period of time. An advantage would be that you would be pretty well rested;) that was a joke. Now in all seriousness, an advantage of being asleep for 50 years would be that you can avoid any heartache such as death in the family, disease, and war.

  15. There seem to be many advantages and disadvantages of sleeping for 50 years. One advantage of sleeping for such a long period of time is that when I wake up it could be a fresh start at life. If I had slept for that long then people might think I'm dead or that I left someplace; waking up would let you have all your mistakes behind you and not to worry about the small things that troubled you 50 years before. Another advantage of sleeping for 50 years is that I might have a long state of peace and no one could bother me. In everyday life it is always hectic and there is barely any time for peace. Sleeping for 50 years could make me a calmer person when I wake up. There are also some pretty bad disadvantages of waking up after 50 years as well. When sleeping for 50 years you are literally wasting away your life. When I woke up I would be 64 and I would have missed the majority of my life at that point. Another disadvantage of sleeping for 50 years is that you wouldn't even know the things going on around you. Technology would be so advanced. The world would be a different place. I think in the long run sleeping for 50 years would be horrible.

  16. If I woke up one day and realized that I've been sleeping for 50 years, that would be both good and bad. That would be bad for two reasons. One reason is that you would miss A LOT! Over a time span like that, people die, people are born, and society completely changes. If you were to wake up 50 years later, it would seem like you're on a completely different planet! Another reason why it's bad is that you would miss someone that you love (depending on how old you are when you fall asleep). The worst part of that would be that you wouldn't know how you lost them, because you were sleeping. The good part about sleeping for 50 years is that you wouldn't be tired again for a very long time! Regular people are usually awake for 16 hours, and asleep for 8. So if you were sleeping for 50 years, you would be awake for 140252 hours, which is about 16 years. That would be very interesting. Therefore, sleeping for 50 years has its advantages and disadvantages.

  17. I believe that if i was sleeping for fifty years, then woke up, I would be pretty dumbfounded at first. Then I would start asking civilians the "usual" stuff like the date and the time. I would then ask who is president. Maybe to see that I am not the only person to be sleeping. I don't really know, but just like everyone else, I would be a little scared. Afterward, I would most likely go see the neighborhood I grew up on. Just to remember/reminisce. Some advantages would be that I am probably the oldest person to be so young. (If that makes sense). Some disadvantages would be that, maybe I aged while asleep and it wasn't healthy to be sleeping so long. Causing maybe starvation and dehydration. Also, I would need to go to a doctor because it isn't normal anywhere to be sleeping for fifty years straight. To me that is out of the blue and I would be a little concerned. That is what I would do if I found out that I was sleeping for fifty years.

  18. If I awoke one day to find that I had slept for fifty years, I would be very upset. Many of my relatives will have died, my friends will have grown apart and grown up without me, and I would have missed the best years of my life. I would've missed the chance to become well educated while I was still young and would be out of touch with the technological advancements made during this time. My life would be mostly over. However, it would be awe inspiring to wake up in this situation. It's like stepping through a time machine, going into a world you would have little knowlege about. A lot of interesting time could be spent learning the history and technological advancements between 2013 and 2063. 50 years ago we were only just beginning in space flight, who's to say what we could accomplish in the next 50 years. It would be amazing to see this.

  19. If I had awoken to find out that I was sleeping for fifty years, I would assume that I would be VERY thin because I didn't consume any food for fifty years. I wouldn't move my body as much as I can now. I wouldn't have much gray hair, probably none because I haven't had any type of stress for fifty years. But I would have wrinkles, also I probably can't even walk because I had use my legs for five decades. There would be no way that parents would be close to 100 years of age. So how come my siblings didn't even think of waking me up? It would be weird if i try to make up the years I missed like going to school, go to college, and get a job my age. I wouldn't have much of my life to continue working like this. But I am eligible for almost every age limit in the U.S. So I would just waste my life doing some fun stuff like amusement parks, etc.

  20. if i were to find out that i had slept for 50 years, the first thing i would do is go outside. I would want to see what the world has become while i was asleep. some advantages of this would be that you are still alive after 50 years. A disadvantge of this would be that you spent almost all your life sleeping. I know that I would not want this to happen to me. This almost reminds me of the captain america movie because he goes into a coma for 40 years.
